SMTP basics
What is RAPID SMTP?
RAPID SMTP is a bring-your-own-SMTP bulk email and transactional campaign manager built for Bangladesh. You connect any SMTP credentials (Gmail, SES, Mailgun, Postmark, your VPS) and we add contact lists, templates, scheduling, tracking, and suppression management.
Do I need my own SMTP server?
Yes — RAPID SMTP routes mail through SMTP credentials you provide. Free options like Gmail (500/day) and Amazon SES (62,000/month free) work perfectly.
Can I use Gmail SMTP for bulk email?
Yes, with limits. Gmail allows 500 messages/day per account. RAPID SMTP rate-limits accordingly. For higher volume, switch to Amazon SES or Mailgun.
How is RAPID SMTP different from Mailchimp?
Mailchimp owns the SMTP and bills per recipient. RAPID SMTP lets you bring your own SMTP and charges a flat monthly fee in BDT regardless of contact count.
Deliverability
How do I avoid the spam folder?
Configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC on your sending domain, warm up new IPs gradually, keep bounce rate under 2%, honour every unsubscribe immediately, and avoid spam-trigger words in subject lines.
What is List-Unsubscribe and do I need it?
Yes. Since 2024, Gmail and Yahoo require List-Unsubscribe headers (RFC 8058) on bulk mail. RAPID SMTP injects them automatically.
Do I need a dedicated IP?
Only at very high volume (>1M/month). Shared IPs from SES/Mailgun work fine for most Bangladesh senders.
Pricing & plans
How much does RAPID SMTP cost?
Plans start at ৳59/month and go up to ৳1,649/month for the Max plan. There is no per-email or per-recipient fee — pricing scales by features, not volume.
Is there a free plan?
Yes — 1 SMTP account, 500 contacts, and basic campaigns. Upgrade when you outgrow it.
Do you charge in USD or BDT?
BDT only. No currency conversion surprises, no foreign card fees.
Campaigns
Can I schedule campaigns?
Yes — schedule any campaign for a future date and time in Asia/Dhaka. RAPID SMTP throttles delivery to stay within your SMTP provider's send-rate limits.
Do you support A/B testing?
Subject-line A/B tests are on the roadmap. Today you can duplicate campaigns and segment manually.
Can I import contacts from CSV?
Yes. CSV import includes duplicate detection and custom field mapping.
Integration
Is there a REST API?
Yes — every campaign, contact, and template action is exposed via REST. SMTP relay is also available for plain SMTP clients.
Does it work with WordPress?
Yes — see /smtp-for/wordpress. Install any SMTP plugin (WP Mail SMTP, FluentSMTP) and point it at RAPID SMTP.
Does it work with Laravel/Node.js?
Yes — RAPID SMTP exposes a standard SMTP endpoint. Use your framework's mailer with our host/port/credentials.
Compliance
Are you GDPR-compliant?
Contacts can request deletion via the contact page. We don't process EU-resident data at scale, but data subject rights are honoured.
Where is data stored?
Bangladesh-region edge with backups in Cloudflare's global network. Email sending happens via your own SMTP provider — we never store outbound message bodies long-term.
Do you suppress unsubscribes automatically?
Yes — every unsubscribe adds the contact to a global suppression list. They cannot be re-mailed from any campaign on your account.
